Dare to bare with a crop top. You pretty much can’t look anywhere nowadays without seeing a crop top. There are countless ways to style it and that’s why they’re seen everywhere: from the red carpet to the runway, and even down the aisle!

But, this definitely isn’t the first time crop tops have been a fashion du jour, many celebs such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Gwen Stefani mastered this trend in the ‘90s.

Style Tip: Make sure that your bottoms are long/covered, this way you don’t show too much skin and your crop top comes across as more classy and less trashy.

Nothing says cool and casual quite like a flannel shirt. Flannel became a ubiquitous staple of the grunge youth culture in the ‘90s. While the garment may be simple, it’s also a wardrobe staple that everyone should own. Flannel has made a comeback and is now regularly spotted around the globe.

Style Tip: Opt for classic colours such as red, black or grey for a flannel as it will be easier to style with other pieces in your wardrobe!

The slip dress is the wardrobe equivalent of a best friend: you’ve known it for years, you can take it anywhere, and it’s reliable. This lingerie-inspired dress continues to take over Instagram with new treatments and lengths. Call the slip dress the staple that will never die. Since the ‘90s  it has resurfaced as a bedroom piece, a slinky sundress and now, the hottest trend of 2017.

Style Tip: Layer the dress over a t-shirt for a cosier feel
